things that make you go Hmm...
Foil top of vaccuum-sealed coffee can:
On the other side, a square sticker covering the holes...
My best guess as to what it's all about: maybe this is how they do the vaccuum sealing -- seal the foil onto the can, poke holes in the foil, put the can in a low-pressure area so most of the air inside goes out thru the holes, then slap the sticker on.
Anybody got any better ideas?

your theory makes sense to me. my only question to you is: since when you do you know about coffee? are you now *old* enough to drink it??

Like Si...I am wondering when you had the experience of tearing off a freeze dried coffee can lid.?? is this a new side to you Bryan??
Like Bogball...I found the pictures very interesting...and frankly his interpretations were enticing...lol..
But overall...your assessment of the situation...seems accurate..
in case you needed affirmation..
(which I know you don't)!!
blogball -- have you been gone thru Rorschach tests? you would be a perplexing candidate, i'd say. ;-)
Bryan, I am pretty sure your explanation is correct, but freeze-dried coffee? hmmm...
Hmm. I'd say:
Holes in the middle of the foil -- this is where the anthrax spores were injected by terrorist shopper; Square sticker covering the holes -- feeble attempt to disguise the holes. I'm not sure I'd consume this.
Question first... is that MJB?
Answer to your question: Aliens. :P
P.S. Sorry I am a sucky lazy blog buddy.
Not sure what kind of coffee, actually, since I dont' drink the stuff. Have to ask my daughter...
