it's a barefaced lie
Shaving takes time and it rips up my face. Plus, studies have revealed that women smile at me more when I have a beard.
But Sam requested that I shave it, so for her birthday I promised her one week of barefaced Dad.
Which lasted three days, after which she asked me to grow it back...

you say you're growing it back? i'm thinking good... :) didn't recognize you -- tho you did tell me that i've met/known you before you had your beard (don't recall). so the results of the studies must be correct -- obviously women don't even NOTICE, let alone smile at, you w/o it. :-)
First--yes, grow it back. Secondly, your bare face reveals a great similarity between you and your maternal grandfather (and even his father).
OK, I think you deliberately posted this picture of you looking not that great without the beard so that everyone would say grow it back. You look like you just woke up or something. If you had faced the camera full-on and smiled as charmingly as you do in some of your beard pictures, I think it would give us a more accurate sample. However, that said, grow it back. ;)
P.S. I just said that last part to be funny. I love you both ways.
