Things nobody cares about
1) We won our second-round playoff game tonight, 4-2. We beat the Ironmen, who had finished first in our division by a healthy margin -- I think they had 4 losses all year. It was a strong effort by all concerned. Two assists by me (that's #16 on your program, #1 in your hearts...) ;-)
2) My L.A. trip was cancelled, so that makes a total of 7 days of consulting cancelled (out of 14 scheduled) this month. It's part of what happens in this business, but this isn't a very good month to have my paycheck cut in half...
3) Heading for San Antonio for a conference this week -- then 5 days in Austin next week. Since Austin is only an hour from San Antonio, I won't bother flying home for just a piece of the weekend. Will miss my kids, but at least the cancellations gave me almost 3 wks at home with them.
4) The word in Spanish for handcuffs is "esposas", which means "wives". That has nothing to do with anything, just thought you should know.

good going on hockey -- delayed comment as *i* happened to be at a conference in SA also (what are the odds?) :-) at least I don't have any adventures to tell this time -- unless you count the confirmation of my being a mean, not-nice person and almost getting caught at it (i'm sure you'd say that it would've been deserved).
also, i'm sure you're #1 in ALL of our hearts... if you’re gone for the next round (not sure but probably likely), how will the team carry on w/o #16?
sorry for the cancellations -- so far you haven't run into this problem when you're scheduled at our site (here's hoping this continues -- though, come to think, you *may* wish to NOT be here...)
re #4 -- oh please! (but since it is in the plural, having multiple wives might be a slightly restraining situation). :-)
handcuffs: esposas: wives. Hmm, what could all of these have in common? If you use your imagination, you could probably dream up one hot evening! 8)
