It's good to know yourself, because until you do it's nearly impossible to really know someone else and it's these relationships with others that are the most rewarding parts of life. ec
re: large families - i have 13 (7 by blood) aunts and uncles on my mom's side, and 15 on my dad's (8 by blood). let's not even get into the cousin count...

East Biggs, you too? Now there is a happening place. I mean, Biggs was just getting too big, so of course, the logical solution was to break of the East side, and form their own city.
I think I played basketball game there in 8th grade.

your requirement of not talking exclusively about oneself reminded me of a card I just saw yesterday. It shows a guy and a girl on a first date kind of thing, and the guy is saying: "How rude of me. Here I've been talking the whole time about myself and I haven't given you a chance to talk about me."

HF, I kind of meant flexible as in able to handle different people, situations, changes-of-plans, etc. But then the contortionist thing would have a whole set of advantages of its own, i should think...
oh, THAT kind of flexibility. i can do that, too.
re lists EIGHT*, FIVE, & FOUR: these explain why we get along so well -- as long as i'm listening, complimenting YOU and not being self-absorbed and talking about me, right? ;-)
