Power to the People

This is emotionally very satisfying.
I often (okay, sometimes) try to see both sides of an issue, but I really have a hard time justifying the executive salaries and bonuses that are the focus of so much criticism right now. Anyone care to try?

This is called a dog and pony show to try and convince gullible people that congress actually does something. Look at all these bad greedy, gluttonous men etc. etc, etc. My emotionally very satisfying moment would be for the tables to be turned and all the executives start asking questions like this to congress. I’m sure we would see a lot more people squirming in their seats.

thx 4 the comment, bb. and i agree that a lot of what congress does is indeed a dog & pony show. but i'm not sure the fact that they are mostly wealthy themselves is relevant to the question of executive salaries. many congresspeople aren't necessarily fat cats, and in any case i think in this particular case congress is indeed executing the agenda of the people they represent, no?
